'If you're sending an important message and want to be sure that the recipient will get it and open it, you can easily add delivery and read requests to this single message:'
The default email client on Mac OS X is also a solid option as far as Microsoft Outlook alternatives go. It has a simple interface and is easy to navigate and use. Apple mail works well with all the popular email services such as iCloud, Gmail, Microsoft Exchange, AOL, Yahoo and more and makes managing multiple email accounts quick and easy. My Outlook (online/hotmail) will not send emails to some of my contacts. I've emailed these addresses before with no issues. I have checked my filter options and made sure these addresses have not been blocked and yet it's still not sending.
By using Outlook delivery and read receipts confirmation rule you will notify individual message also when your message is delivered and opened. When you send an important message to someone then you can request one of them or both at once. Or you can add read receipts to all your emails. It's even possible to create a special read receipt rule. Would you like to know how to do it? Go ahead and read this article!
Let's define difference between delivery & read receipts
A delivery receipt informs you that your email message was or wasn't delivered to the recipient's mailbox. There is no guarantee that the email is in the recipient's inbox. It can be accidentally removed to the junk e-mail folder.
A read receipt shows that the message was opened. The read receipt is sent by the person who opens the message. If you got a confirmation that your email was read by the address, it is obvious that the email was also delivered.

Step 2

Step 5
If the message is delivered and the recipient opens it, you will get the email read notification like the one below:
If you want to track all Sent messages of Outlook by default, then enable the Delivery and Read Receipt confirmation option.
For Outlook 2002, 2003 and 2007:
Step 1
Go to the 'Tool' menu and click on 'Options'.
Step 2
On 'Preference' tab, click on 'E-mail options' under E-mail and then click on 'Tracking option'.
Step 3
Now, check mark on 'Read Receipt' and 'Delivery Receipt' under 'For all messages I send, request'.
For Outlook 2010 and 2013:
Step 1
Go to File >> Option.
Step 2
Select 'Mail' option.
Under tracking option, check mark the box 'Delivery receipt confirming the message was delivered to recipient email server'.
By applying these settings, you will be able to get confirmation as you want. But, keep in mind that the recipient has the power to decline to send a read receipt as I have already mentioned above.
Within our company, we like to use Voting emails to decide on various things. However, not everything is a Yes/No/Maybe or Accept/Reject question.
For instance, what to get for lunch (we use it for more serious business stuff as well though).
How do I define my own answers when creating an email with voting buttons?
When enabling the voting option in your email, you can freely type in the space for the possible answers. To separate each answer, you can use the semicolon ( ; ) character.
To set up voting for an email:
Select the Options tab while composing a message and choose Use Voting Buttons-> Custom…
Specifying custom voting answers.
Alternative: Microsoft Forms and Quick Poll
If you need support for more questions and multiple answers, then using Microsoft Forms might be the better alternative.
Microsoft Forms is free to use and is a simple, lightweight browser app that lets you easily create surveys, quizzes, and polls. You can share these forms by publishing a link, sending a QR code, embedding it into a webpage or send them a link via email.
When you have an Office 365 Work or School account, you can also create these directly from within Outlook by installing the Quick Poll add-in.
For more info about what you can do with Microsoft Forms see the Forms help center.
